Originally I wanted to use a D1000 to really drive home how mind-bogglingly big and far apart everything in space is. But I'm not a fan of Simulationist games, and I figured opening with a sweet ass Douglas Adams H2G2 quote would get the point across, while also making the game significantly more playable. Also, a D100 is still gonna come up with mostly nothings, so, there's that.

This is so nerdy and I love it! I hope to get to try it out with some people. Perhaps this would do well in play by post?
Hey thanks, glad you enjoy it. Play by post could work real well. It would definitely add a hair of realism by introducing a delay in communication.
Not going to lie, I had almost the exact same idea but didn't follow through when I found the title I was going to use had already been used by an existing game.
I like it and glad you made something showing the vastness and emptiness of space.
